Hey everybody, new member just getting into pedal modding. I need help with a potential mod to my swollen pickle fuzz pedal, it's too loud and I can never use it past about 7o clock on the knob. Because of that, I don't get much room to find the sweet spot in volume and I'd rather have more range. I know I could just buy a different pedal but I figured this could be a cool intro into pedal modding. Any ideas/suggestions?

Change the "Loudness" pot to a log taper (A100K)
If that doesn't do it, assuming yours is the same version as this schematic, you could increase the value of the resistor in series with the Loudness pot. (R26 on the Gerkin schematic)

It was by design on the Original, if you watch most of the demo's, with the Fuzz at 12.00 O'clock, the Volume knob never gets past 9.00 Oclock.
It's a common mod I do to pedals with B taper Volume pots, A taper (Log) is way smoother & and has a longer sweep.
Going by first hand experiences from owners, this Gerkin is due for a Pot Taper update!
