Saw this today. I've seen some people try it with success, but probably limited to guitar electronics as the value probably is hard to get right. Anyone ever wrap their own capacitors?

I tried it once but it was pretty difficult. I gave up before i got something working

Though the only thing the *pop* would do is, like, nuthin. You'd have to make a big one and hook it up to mains. Hmm. I wonder how much energy it would take to burn a kilo of CBD oil...

Probably not much more than the base oil it's dissolved in. Hmm. This could be sized for a main breaker. Potentially.

Lotta work to just feel slightly more relaxed. I gotta say.

Hell, I wonder if one could make one of these with Teflon tape? Save ya a bundle on PTFE caps. If one was so inclined.

That might have been an ingredient. I had an OIP cap go short while I was working on a mid-60's Layfette (MIJ) tube amp in the 90's, which the smoke produced smelled like rancid fish.

This thread gave me an idea..
I made me a pressed rosin hash oil and hemp paper Cannapacitor™. I used a roll of Vibes hemp rolling paper copper sheild tape and pressed cannabis rosin mixed with hemp seed oil. I didn't have any cbd but I have a stupid amount of old weed that I pressed. Now I got a 12" Celestion Hempback speaker in a DIY cab with a couple handfulls of flower in it and a Les Paul with a hash oil cap. The Cap came out a little high (pun intended) at ~72nf and pretty big, about the size of a AA battery or a fat spliff bro. hehe. I like the sound of it. It really mellows the tone and now The tone itself is the Marijuana
