So it’s 400 dollars and you have to use batteries? I’m out!

I’m sure you could get something close by using the twin face and maybe a tone block add on.

That's black epoxy (aka goop) on the back of the PCB...

Not sure if there is more on the component side or not... I will assume there is, but in this case it very well could be to prevent the back of the PCB from touching the metal enclosure lid.

If I could get my hands on one I could tell you more.
