...so here we are. Man, that was easy. :ROFLMAO:

I've got a $50 Sweetwater card to kick off the thread. I know...Labor Day sale ended...but that's Fig for you.

Speaking of easy...things are much too complicated in this world, so in honor of simplicity ( simple is my middle name ), I'll grab a random-type post # on Tues.

We attended an eight-year old's birthday party today. I got to play with some cool toys...my wife says I fit right in. We got him a rock tumbler. Cool gift but about as fun as a monogrammed fork....so we also got him a Lego megladon!

What's Happening with y'all?

I spent some time today cleaning/organizing my workbench. Currently waiting on some parts to arrive before finishing off a few more builds :D
Btw I think it's super cool that you do these giveaways, fig.

Semester is already pretty busy. Did a papermaking workshop yesterday as part of my experimental printmaking class. Here’s a little sample of some of the paper I made. IMG_0180.jpeg

My litho class is definitely going to be a ton of work— I need to get my first stone ground/polished, so I’ll probably go in to school around 6am tomorrow so I can grind the stone a bit before class.
 
Does anyone have a suggestion for some solid in-ears for playing live? Mine are cheap Amazon ones and they honestly do fine till I start mixing in 6+ people and then they start to flub out. I imagine I need more than 1 driver to handle all that.
 
I'm gonna finally sit down and figure out whether this Alesis SR-16 is repairable. I thrifted it at a Goodwill Outlet, so it's a big score if its problem (no power) is limited to the 7805 (which reads ground on its output pin). If it's more thoroughly bricked, well, I paid like $2.00 per pound for it.

Happy Sunday all. My trusty CS7 has finally started to circle the drain so I’ve replaced it with a CS12. Taking a break from wiring that in to watch some football with the kiddos. I like custom power cables for cleanliness/organization/aesthetics but it’s a tedious way to spend your afternoon… :P
 
Today was the first day in a week that it’s been cool enough to play through big boy amps, so I played guitar most of the day, while planning lectures for the week in the back of my head…

Now I’m eating a veggie burrito and getting ready to have some of the devil’s lettuce and study Barney Kessel…
