Vox Ice Nine Pedal

I'm interested in the ice nine pedal that Joe Satriani plays. I would be curious to know what the pedal is based on. Or maybe you have a schematic to share. It's always interesting to study the schematics and see how they achieve their sound.

From the reviews and other site descriptions, it appears to be based on a TS w/better tone controls, Timmy or some say DS-1 with more tone controls, with a switchable boost follower. Note the DS-1 uses hard clipping and the TS & Timmy do not. Couldn't find any schematics of the Ice Nine. I imagine the Ice Nine would need to be traced to be sure of what it specifically is. The fun part is that Vox is known to sand some some of their ICs, so part ID might be a challange.
