Welcome to the Break Room

Robert

Reverse Engineer
Considering everything going on in the world right now, and everyone stuck at home, I figured there was no better time to open up a place for off-topic banter.

I'd prefer not to post a long list of rules and no one has time to moderate or babysit, so lets just be considerate to others. No one cares who you pray to, who you voted for, what your skin color is, or your sexual preference... there are other forums for that.

With that out of the way, let's have fun. :)

Cool.!.!
What’s everyone been up to?¿
I’ve become a master of all the new Mario games since I’ve been stuck at home with my 5 y/o...

This is a good addition Robert! Good timing haha.

My work hasn’t shut down yet so luckily I am still able to bring in money. I find it fairly irresponsible and possibly (okay 100%) greedy for them to stay open at the same time so I’m pretty torn!

What I’m doing though...I had a trip to Vegas to see Ween planned this last week so I took the time off anyway, the whole trip got moved to October. Fingers crossed this is smoothed out by then!

This is a great idea.

What have I been up to? Building pedals, of course. ;) Cooking. Eating. Playing guitar. Maybe a little beer...

Last music I listened to was a few tracks off of Scorpions "In Trance"

Chuck, remember the Martin Clarence White Acoustic I just put that pickup in between Pedals for my mate Michael Vdelli.
He has been living in Hamburg for the last 5 years, just came back to Perth, Australia this January.

He is a mate of Mathias Jabs , Here he is playing a Tokai Les Paul as part of a Sponsorship back when.
I made that Guitar strap too.
He is reading the Lyrics on M..J track.
This is Mathias's music store:

Great idea. I too am still working (HVAC Tech) bummed I'm probably not going to get to be at the hospital for my new grandson's birth week after next, we finally had a decent day weather wise and I got the clear coat onto my next batch of pedals, so I'll have plenty of boards to populate if we do go into lock down.

I’m calling this the “Summer of Dirt”. Just going to keep building overdrives until I get bored or learn something.
I’ve got a Maestro EP-3, a Blackout Musket, a Barber LTD and a MojoHand FX Odessa on my pedalboard. I love them all but am curious how many will get bumped off.
Got the Informant, the Twill and The Mach 1 under construction with more to come.
Let the cage match begin!

I've been working my butt off but got shifted to home for the duration of this mess. Hard to complain and I won't miss the commute in Chicago traffic (well at least when there still was traffic) but trying to work from home is kinda like playing chess by mail. Maybe I'll get some long overdue projects wrapped up. I don't have any boards in the cue but a few guitars and amps that could use some love.

Now if I could just find some damn paper towels and toilet paper I'd be fine...

I have worked non-stop, every single day since March 8, except for yesterday. I'm responsible for Québec's Province (Canada) official website and Covid-19 put quite a lot of pressure on me and my team. But everything runs smoothly so far. We even put code correction in production Friday.

Usually the website had 2 millions hits a day and we had 16 million hits in a day a week ago. Thanks to TYPO3 CMS and our Amazon infrastructure with auto-scale up, everything runs under 8% right now. I've been luckily working from home since Tuesday.

I took 3 hours to prepare an order at Tayda Thursday night, that's about all I was able to get as time off. I may try to start a Pitch Witch today...

Stay home if you can builders!

I work for the the US Government and I am still coming in, not sure when I will be sent home. I haven't had a chance to build some pedals for a while, life happens sometimes, and then all of this craziness. I hope you all stay safe, and that your family and loved ones stay safe too. I truly enjoy coming here and speaking with all of you, so you all better make sure to keep safe so we can gather here for years to come!

My work is deemed essential so luckily I still have an income. It’s time to stop being nice to people not following the rules though, I’m only one day back from having a week off and am losing it a bit haha.

I'm not gonna ask which branch...

I'd be going stir-crazy here if not for pedal building and the cool folks on this website. At least I got out today to pick up the Staples of Life from Trader Joe's: milk, butter, salad dressing & BEER! ?

Take care, Jon.

Yes Chuck those are the essentials, but beer comes first lol.

im building pedals like it's my job. of course no one is buying anything right now so im going to have quite a bit of stock by the time this madness ends.

My son works in a drive-though liquor store and apparently they are considered "essential services", so he's still at work. I work for myself so nothing much has changed except there's even less work around. But I have been warned that some folks are stock-piling beer so I have plenty at home. You can mess with my napkins, mess with my toilet paper - but don't mess with my beer!!
