Boxed up the Scenario Preamp and man, I know the first time you play it it's honeymoon time, but this thing just sounds pretty great. At first I thought the comp switch didn't do anything, but thankfully I read it adds some diodes so I just needed to turn up the gain to hear the difference. Not a huge fan of the extra clipping, but maybe it has it's uses. I usually hate anything compression related or compressors with guitar - I don't know, maybe I need to try some nice compressor at some point.

Don't know what the magic is but every time I've just flat out boxed the whole thing and soldered the footswitch and jacks and all, every pedal has worked perfectly out of the box. I sometimes have issues with the ones that I test first. It's weird.

This one might be popping a little bit, it sometimes does, sometimes doesn't, maybe I'll need to look at some solder joints with a magnifying glass or something.
How’d you do the graphics? Looks like metallic gold printing, but I know Tayda doesn’t have metallics in their UV printer. Trick of the eye, a different uv printing source, or gold paint/decal stock that wasn’t uv printed? Really great looking build all around!

I guess it does look like gold in the picture, and right now with the morning sun!

In a worse lighting it looks something like mustard or baby poop. So yes, it is just from Tayda and it's a trick of the eye. I was actually disappointed with it originally since the colors are off from how they look on my screen. It was supposed to be more of a clay color, with more red in the mix. I don't know why it looks so different in the end result, but I guess it could go for gold now so it's fine.

Image not showing for me.

@jimilee So cool! I've read up on home pcb etching, and I've got most of the stuff I would need to do it. The initial part that held me back was all the dire warnings about proper etchant disposal. And then once I read up on how cheap it is to get em from JCLPCB or whoever once you've got a CAD layout done, it seems like a lot of work for how much money you're saving. And even knowing all that, when I see this it still makes me want to do it.

It is easier getting them from JLCPCB. I etched for about a year before I started with eagle. I had all the stuff on hand, and I’m covered up in extra boards from them already. I figured I’d go ahead and etch one. I etched a Lizard queen last month, so I already had everything out.
