What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

ancient router and old table saw that's the motor, top, arbor and a blade... gotta make/buy the rest. I wouldn't have bothered finding the saw in my late father's garage but trying to do scarf joints on the bandsaw is a 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬 NO, and I burn enough cash on pedals and humbuckers :ROFLMAO:

I am working on finishing up (another) Kliche build and a Son of Ben...

I know it's not particularly space-efficient but for some reason I'm a big fan of the aesthetic of 1590BB pedals. Like, I'd take the "full" Kliche in a 1590BB over the mini in a 125B any day of the week. I got a big box for the Benson, too (like the original is) and am already kinda thinking of doing the same with an Informant or similar. I don't really know what it is but provided I'm not utterly devoid of space I just tend to like the look of the bigger boxes better.

Both going fairly smoothly but a few hardware things to work out. I really like the look of the new (new-ish? not sure exactly when they got them) all-metal LED bezels that Tayda sells, but they are really "tall" and I might need to find a way to either cut them down or otherwise isolate from the underside of the PCB...worried about them coming into contact and causing issues.

And I mistakenly ordered a handful of jacks that are PCB-mount kind (pins rather than solder lugs). I actually quite like the black plastic enclosed style jacks but just happened to get the wrong ones. I'm sure there wouldn't be any problem just soldering to the pins but it feels a bit less "road-worthy". Trying to decide if I'll just go with it, or if I'll just order a few of the correct jacks, or if I'll convince myself to order a bunch of other parts I might need/want at some point since getting just four 1/4" jacks feels like a wasted order :P

going that far, amazed you didn't slant the front wind screen and to lower the top, already kissing the ground may as well go full lo rider with it!

I'm staring at a piece of 15/32 ply wondering where to cut to make a scarfing jig and still be useful after I've made all the necks I deign to rasp out.

The previous owner of the truck was going to chop the top, you can see the marks if you "enhance, zoom in, enhance more".

Current owner, my friend, is going to keep the roof line stock, but the truck will be low for sure. There's already the upper portion of the grill removed. Gotta raise the bed so the top leading edge flows with the belt-line. Before any of that, he's getting the motor and trans sorted out. Motor's coming from an early Camaro. I hate SBCs with a passion, but I've gotta admit, a 327 Mouse for this build is a good choice.

As for your scarfing jig... The only scarfing jig I know how to deal with involves propping me up at the dinner table to scarf down the food.

Shame you hadn't run in to me about 7 years ago.. I had this 65 327(marked HV hehee) that just needed a new valve rocker that I had no home for so went to be reborn.. sigh. What I'm talking about is something for angles the miter gauge does NOT make...
