What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Fit test. It's nice when all the holes you've painstakingly hand-drilled turn out to be in the right places.

I usually use cheapy generic plastic sockets, but I sprang for three of these from Tayda so as to increase my wriggle room inside this 1590B box. Glad I did; the generic ones fit but there's a lot more room with these. Plus they're pretty sturdy, more so than the Lumbergs that Tayda also sells.

Yes there is a small PCB going in here too; it also fits. I'm sure you can guess what I'm making but I'll let the mystery endure until I post a build report when I eventually finish. The off-board wiring is going to be a doozy so I'll be doing it very slowly and carefully.

Unicorn #1 was finding a Yamaha Ty Tabor at a reasonable price and in primo condition. Unicorn #2 is a Godin Multiac ACS Nylon that wanted a good home. RMC preamp and Roland 13pin interface mated to LR Baggs piezo saddles. Radiused ebony fingerboard (not at all classical) and black painted sides and back (not typical Godin) this thing is pure magic.
