What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Not on my bench, but a friend sent me a pic of his MXR Duke of Tone. Looks worse than 95% of the builds on here.

Hard Bargain by Electric Druid, made a big mistake with the drill holes for Tayda (my mistake completely) but had a try at drilling holes myself and it went fine. Socketed the diodes so I could test things, but I threw in some of the D18 / IS307 USSR NOS diodes I bought a while back and I quite like it like this. I might try taking better pictures and maybe even recording a demo for a build report, but I've also had plans for two other build reports I haven't gotten around to, so don't hold your breath.

Oh, and this picture reminds me I should try carefully scratching out the input and output texts since they're not accurate anyway.

But knowing that’s it’s off by a little and you have the power to do it correctly, that wouldn’t bother you in the slightest? 😆

You are very right though these are stomp boxes not spaceships 🤣
Technically the “right way “ to do it would be to calculate the setback, tangent lines and k factor, but this is completely overkill for what you are doing, what you are doing is essentially art with a structural purpose, knowing the science behind it is just licensing to knowing what you can get away with, keep it straight, make it strong, make it purdy…

Well stated.

Currently, the following are all awaiting finished enclosures from AmplifyFun . . . . .

1) Decimator II - Noise Reduction/Soft-Gate

2) STFU - Noise Reduction/Soft-Gate

3) As Above So Below - PedalPCB Deflector FV-1 Reverb

4) Headtrip II - MadBean FV-1 Multi-FX (and the finished mock-up - I didn't care for the idea of two stomps on a 125B, so I went with a 1590BB)

5) HAARP - PedalPCB FV-1 Based Arpeggiator (this is going to have the FV-1 Clock Mod incorporated into it)

Build reports coming as they are finished.

The Decimator is all you’ll need for noise reduction, it’s fantastic.
I agree. It's a great noise reduction/soft-gate. When I compared it to the STFU, they perform identically to my ears - and with a smaller parts-count. I think the Decimator has a bit more flexibility connection-wise.
