What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Of course I made the mistake of just assuming 6x mmbf4393 would work right off the bat. Q3/4 needed some help but it got there. I have two of these boards and the other one is definitely getting the Stones/Stoner as a foot switch. Just had surgery and have to do nothing active for a few days, oh my I am in hell! 😂

Pickup frequency response / impedance plot / guitar cable measuring setup. Of course, it didn't work properly when I had people come in to see it and hopefully learn something. Fecking Murphy!

Frequency response plots from left to right:
12' cable
5' cable
1' cable

with an Ibanez humbucker, ~10kOhm (at DC) into a 1Meg load.

Wow that’s a considerable difference!!!

Good thing I've worked on a lot of 80s fender circus boards to prepare me for this bbq! I like some char but this is outta hand! The pad came right off on the iron tip, I just sheepishly set it back and tried the resistor through the hole. It fit AND had continuity! Dumped some flux and very gently soldered. Tested again and it's all good! Changed out the four components the service bulletin said too and the sun fired right up! No pops or motorboats! Nice W!

Trying to work up the perfect Percolator for me. This one's got the stock specs, except for the transistors which are 2N2904 with hfe of 93, and a 2N3057 with hfe of 123. IR LEDs for a bit of extra volume. Super loud, clangy, and splatty with more than a hint of octave up when placed after a buffer. Big n spongy when direct from the guitar. Slightly lower noise floor than the last two germanium versions I built

And, added this 3d printed case to my recently acquired GM328
