What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

I have a bad habit of not playing guitar when the family is home even though my boys are usually on headphones. Feels like I’m bothering them. So this summer with school being out I’m building pedals. Here is my progress on a Phase II this evening.

That is the sharpest pic of a populated PCB I think I have ever seen! What's your secret?

Many phone cameras are wider apertures (f/2.8-ish), and have shallower depth of field as a result. being back from the subject and/or using some magnification would definitely do it :)

Spent an hour or so ticketing only to realize I had the in and out reversed. Went for a drive to clear my head and pick up pizza. That’s when I realized what I had done. 👍🏻

Vibrobot with speed switch selector and expression control for the speed knob
It works! My exp pedal is an M Audio model:

with a 10k pot connected to the shaft and a 50k pot that sets the range, as far as I can tell. I need to understand if I can override the 10k pot since the rate knob in the Vibrobot is 100k so it's not full range

First time casting was a real learning experience. After messing up the mold several times I finally got a decent mold. I’m thinking of going with petrobond to get finer detail and not to have so many craters! I’m the meantime I’m going to a finer mesh sand that I have laying around here!

@steviejr92 - quite interesting movies.

A few months ago I used the Hothouse pedal (Daisy Seed DSP platform pedal) to experiment with getting a good plate reverb + tremolo + delay in a single pedal so it’d fit on my simplified nearlly-fully-DIY pedalboard (Ditto+ and my PS). Once I realized it would work well, I drew up some designs for a custom-built enclosure and used the Funbox platform (still Daisy Seed based) to build up a couple of different versions of the Flick.

Yesterday I got the code working on the Funbox so it’s fully working on my board now. The left foot switch toggles the reverb and the right foot switch toggles both delay and tremolo separately (single tap for delay, double-tap for tremolo).

I wanted to build this to compliment my amp that has no built-in tremolo or reverb and it is working great! It’s also inspired by the Strymon Flint, but with the added bonus of having a delay in there as well.

Eventually, as I get time to work more on the code, I'd like to use the DIP switches on the side to make it possible to support other types of reverbs. Funbox (and these two Flick pedals) also has an expression pedal jack and a midi jack that I could experiment with as well. Just haven't added that yet.
