How do you not have one? I shouldn’t talk. I never even played one until last year. Pretty much ready to sell my strat now, as I haven’t touched it since getting the JM
Was rare to find a left hander even with Cobain alive, let alone the color I wanted. Think the guys on Ebay are dodgy? Should have seen the fly by night operations back of guitar mags for parts from back then

Today was a flood, 1 box from amplified parts had to be put on the porch! The 3 way gib switch might have ben overkill but the 8feet/2.5m of stainless fretwire needed it! Next up the boards and box from vigilante.. fun and hair pulling ahead! Finally a mountain from Stompbox... I should have ordered some tips from Digkey for my poor iron.

Everyone is late to the Jazzmaster party. First was round of late 80s/early 90s alt and grunge acts due to cheap prices. then in the late 00's with the hipsters and now the new wave. I got my first offset in the late 90s and sold it only to get back on board around 2008 and am on my final Jazzmaster. Don't settle, they are not all created equal and the difference lies in the hardware.
I’m just glad I made it to the party. Well, sorta. Good advice from someone who knows, thanks!@

The local Hobby shop when I was a kid had one of these. My brother was way into. I can still smell the goo he would put on his tires for grip.
Yeah, wintergreen oil was the base for one widely use goop.

Slot car racing was my entree to electronics, starting when I was 7 years old. It was a ritual for me a few days a week after school, but that was a smaller 1/24th scale track at a hobby shop directly across the street frorm my elementary school. The Blue King in the pic that AMF used to sell is still the standard and the lap record has gone from ~4 seconds in the early 70s to something like a second and a quarter now with increased banking, crazy aero, and a bumped up supply voltage. There were a few Blue Kings around Southern CT and the place with one that I frequented as a teenager was full of geeky United Technologies engineers from Sikorsky who had money to burn, so beating most of them pretty often was quite satisfying. They were pretty amused by my hippie crew and semed to respect my DIY chops and youthful fast reflexes, actually. That track is around 155 feet or so, but there were some 300+ ft. ones in a local few places too.

The candy is the best part
Sort of feels borderline child abductor-ish. At least 3 emails and 1 phone call after ordering a $16 power supply and then there’s the candy and not to mention the subsequent calls post delivery…I can appreciate their level of customer service, but by god, if they start doing their own deliveries in a windowless van……

New PCB day is the best day 😎 I've been wanting a DC-30 amp at 15W to put into an old 112 combo shell I have laying around. The bigger of the small boards is a rev3 design of a preamp for @Mike McLane and the little one is a tiny 12AX7 preamp that I'm going to mount inside a bass build I'm doing.

Ahhh, so nice!

I have a ready to go NOS 4 x EL84 Genz power amp board from their old AC30-ish Black Pearl model, it has switching options for 15 and 8 watts as well. It came with the matching power transformer and choke too, just need an OT from Heyboer or wherever and power tubes, then I'll have to decide what sort of front end I feel like making for it. It' s been ages since I've done anything guitar oriented, especially with cathode bias format. Really looking forward to that!

Just got some more parts for this, oh and a box full ‘o @vigilante398 Sushi goodness.
