What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

In the bass that had no noise, did you take THAT battery and stick it in your other bass?? Or same for pedals? Maybe it's the specific battery and you need to sort through them like you do with JFETs?
Behaviour was consistent regardless of which battery I swapped in. So, internally there must be some form of voltage regulation/conversion to achieve a constant voltage output. I'm guessing the batteries are just not filtered well, so if you combine them with on-board electronics or pedals that are equally not filtered well, it introduces noise where there would be none with a normal battery or a well-filtered power supply. Cool tech for sure but maybe it needs another couple of years to get "there". Or maybe it is already "there" and I haven't found the right product yet. This was literally just a random Amazon find that I wanted to give it a try.

Yeah, for all the thousands upon thousands of batteries they sell, how many are going to musician pedal-users? If they do "fix" it, they will charge this niche-market of musicians accordingly... $$$$$.

Got the Holiday Microcoil Tele set from Wilde pickups in the mail. I have a Tokai Breezysound I will be putting them into. Holiday sales price was pretty good, shipping was rough but doable - but they even ended up refunding me 16€ from the shipping so it came out to 20€ in the end! Not sure every company would do that.

100x 2SD128s. Yay. Cheap NPN GE!
Also, got this locally. 2024 Genesis 550. I've wanted a 550 for sooo long. Decades. It's not a vintage one, but close enough. Definitely the closest to a wizard 1 neck as I've felt. Like new condition with a case and the last guy replaced all the pups with all Duncans and pots with CTS. All in for about 2/3 of new price.

Finally here! Hit the order button as soon as it was back in stock at Musikding. Muzzle is on the menu… also a bunch of smaller stuff I wanted for my stock. Just need my 125B(s) order to arrive now.

Is the steel beefy like the kind used for the Vintage Tube Monster? Kinda tempted to get one and put my Touchstone guts in it.

Backordered, it looks like, but maybe worth the wait.
It's sturdy but I don't know if I would go as far as to say it's beefy like a tube monster (hehehe). Sorry... ok seriously tho. I haven't seen the tube monster in real life (hehe) so I can't compare. It's seems sturdy enough to handle some drilling.....
