If I'm completely real for a minute, I have no plans to flip it. It was a gift, despite it being a "prize", I consider it a gift.

I think it covers the basics very well. If you can read basic schematics you'll do well. The first 39 pages cover just the triode gain stage. From helpful diagrams showing what the basic components around the gain stage are called and what they do (like grid stoppers, grid leaks - you'll be talking like a pro tube dude in no time haha), to load lines, clipping etc.

The new one is focused solely on Guitar Amps, that’s all you really need.

The preamp book that’s still in print is HIFI focused. The power supply book you could always add later, but most guitar amp power supplies are not that complicated.

I found the guitar preamp and power amp books on eBay for cheap. Grabbed them too haha. I hoard books worse than I hoard pcbs

It's a snare side 300. I picked it sort of at random. It'll be better than the one that popped on me last week at least

Edit: it's going on some pearl steel snare. I barely know what I've got. I'm not a drummer
