What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

Wooooo!!! When you ask for stickers and get a pile of generosity, you know it's a figlabs drop. With some bignoise goodness no less! Thank you @fig, you're too kind. I'm assuming this is a vibey chorus tap tempo doomsday modulation device, yes?

I just read through the electric ladyland thread. This should prove to be quite a fun build. I'm super excited it was developed right here by this merry band of smart fellers. My eyes may have crossed when Chuck explained his "lazy engineering tricks" but only a little.

I want a spitfire tortoise shell for my jazzmaster in the worst way but 250-300 is wild but it is legit celluloid. I may bite the bullet one of these days. I have the fender avri guard but it's printed just like wd and everyone else. Look at this🤤🥵

Spitfire guards are gorgeous but so expensive. The WD guards (as well as from a fair number of makers) are legit celluloid though— not printed. There are quite a few sources that are printed, but WD, SneakyT from the offset forums (though he stopped selling last year afaik, otherwise he’d be my first choice), warmoth, and one other that I can’t remember the name of all have legit celluloid that I can attest to firsthand. The difference with spitfire is just that it’s hand-swirled celluloid that’s more vintage-correct, instead of being like the celluloid that guitar picks are made of.

That's beautiful but there's just no way. It's a thing that protects the thing. I'd rather ding the jazzmaster at that price.

Very true. But I still don't know how he keeps coming up with them. I can't seem to find them for sale anywhere. I feel like the least I can do is buy one and put some money in the pockets of those crazy mad scientists who brought it forth.
@Chuck D. Bones & @cooder , who are the very talented creators of the Mama Flanger circuit graciously allowed me to have some pcbs printed. (y)

Here is the thread you'll want to have a look at;

Yesterday...

Uhm, the sockets. I didn't notice that they came in pairs when I ordered, now I have enough that I don't need to reorder them for projects beyond the Black Eyes.
Dirt Dauber 'cause who can resist Octave-Fuzz
Likewise the Modus Operandi, who can resist a boost?
Needed a reverb-tremolo for my Tweed build, SPROING!
3PDTs and a couple swart smitchers
& ProtoBoardSpecial thanks to @Robert & @Bricksnbeatles, and to Tim, that little instifigator who started a bunch of contests that begat other people's contests...

Awesome! I can’t wait to see those ideas of yours come to life on the breadboard. Do I get to say the immortal words this time? Here it goes…

“Now go build something!”

Some familiar faces, yes?
One of the good things about my parents is they didn't give a hoot about age-appropriate TV viewing, so kid me got to watch all kinds of wacky stuff back in the olden days, including reruns of Laugh-In. Also a lot of cool 70s horror films with gratuitous nudity.

I was happy to recently see that Small Bear changed hands and is still going strong. Ordered a bunch of Alpha pot hardware, lock washers for the 16mm ones having eluded me for quite some time. And then they carry colored 15mm aluminum knobs, which also seem somewhat uncommon. Getting the right matches of push on and set screw knobs for one recurring build I've been doing recently has been a bit of a PITA, but at least with SB in the mix I have them, LMS, Tayda, and AES all offering pieces of the puzzle.

A day later than expected, but better late than never

Mine is taking its sweet time arriving, but when using Global Saver I pretty much expect that.

I can't do global saver, I am not a patient person  If boards aren't in my hands a week or so from when they were ordered I start to get anxious, so the extra $50 or so (depending on order size) is worth it for my mental health :p
I hear ya. In my old day job overnight shipping was often a necessity, and since my wife worked at FedEx I could and sometimes did intercept the really critical shipments ($10K per hour penalties for lost data collection in some cases) at the local hub before they were loaded on the couriers' trucks. I also had access to the super secret tracking info...LOL.
