What's in the mailbox? 📬 📦

I have not used the unicab. My prior experiences with resistive load or analog cab sims in the past was not as favorable as the two notes stuff. I like the stuff that two notes has available but I'm actually using the official Celestion IRs of my actual speaker model and cab (1x12 open back) and love that I can get MY sound. I'm spoiled by the two notes stuff.

I tried a couple other analog cab Sims before I bought the cab m and they just didn't really do it for me. The cab m is like a different level for me

I always hit the switch while playing, so it’s perfect. I wired the volume on the top, but I might put it in the middle position. I don’t do a lot of volume swells while playing, but when I do my friend’s , his is going in that lower position for the way he plays.

I had been thinking of flipping mine but A. I don't want to, and B. I think a volume pedal would be more useful in my case

the larger component is a SA571 compandor ... there's no second board, on the flip side is more smd goodness. the 8 pins you guys are curious about are a DIP 8 socket on the flip side for the MN3207.

As far as sound goes, I like it better than the boss rt-20 but less than the real thing. I don't have experience with the higher-end offerings like the neo vent or the rotosphere for comparison. I do have to say that some of the reviews said it was noisy, which I haven't experienced. I like it enough that I'm looking into setting up a stereo rig

I never tried any of them, I chose these mainly out of curiosity. I wonder if someone is familiar with these circuits, and if there are some interesting tips or mods worth mentioning ?

I bought the grunge back when it first came out ... was my only dirtbox for ages and I was poorer for that experience. For me, it is to grunge music what the boss metal zone is to literally any subgenre of metal music. if you're actually playing that kind of music, you're probably not using that pedal.

I once saw a guy in my town sporting both the GRUNGE and the Metal Zone.
We've got a lot of Dad-Rock around here.

I tried starting a band a couple years ago and the other guitar player was unironically using just a metal zone. Needless to say, it didn't work out
