To be honest my initial reaction was "meh, it's a decent silver." Thankfully there was some sunlight left. I found the subtle rainbow and it chased my underwhelm away.

Now, something from eBay today that doesn't suck(well, it does, but in a good way):

I give you the first ever product from Alesis. From 1984, the XT Digical Reverbamator. It has one algo- shitty 80s lofi reverb. And it sounds wonderful. 10 bit 28khz sample rate IIRC. And if you ever wondered what first gen California made alesis product look like, well. Not shabby. All TI chips and WIMA caps. 40 years old and surprisingly all the electros appear intact. A couple of switches were hit and miss but a quick spoo of dexoit across everything and all is well.

It goes into the collection of shitty 80a reverbs. All I need is a XT:C and I'll have all the Alesis brown diamonds. For any My Bloody Valentine fans out there, the XT:C is what was all over Loveless(and a SPX90), not the midiverb. The midiverb wasn't released yet but does contain the same algos but not nearly as much control over them.

edit:I added the tape over the PROM as the label was lifting and those boys are erased by UV through a lens in the top. Gotta love the 80s tech!

She owns a house on seven acres of land in Tick Canyon, very rustic. She needs physical assistance after allowing her body to atrophy after her husband AND son died. I visited her last weekend and that damn dirt road shook my truck so hard it killed my transmission, front end, water pump and power steering pump. Transmission on order, everything else fixed. Sure rides nice now. It's been making a shipload of noise lately, I knew it needed work. The poorly maintained half washed out road was just the last straw on the camels back. $2530 for the work already done. It's was a lot of work, they also replaced the rack and pinion. Just like a new car now.

I was going to ask her to marry me 50 years ago, but her best friend didn't want her to marry me and told her a bunch of really nasty lies, and she didn't talk to me again for about 10 years and we were both married by then. So, not a scam. And so bizarre that it happened right after I delivered groceries.

I am trying my hardest to get her to move in with me, and just bought a wheelchair for her so I can wheel her to my truck and whisk her to my house.

I make her happy, she makes me happy, what more is there?
