Morningstar MC8 Pro. The driver for the purchase was pedal board control of my drummer. My drummer:

Also going to use it for some minor control and midi clock of the Chroma Console (jury still out on this one), Meris Mercury X and LVX on another small board like this one, and a Strymon Volante that lives on my main board.

The newer Morningstars have a couple of relay style amp footswitch outputs too which may come in handy. But also I was thinking about their 10 loop switcher this morning as I was waking up. I could punch in-out 10(!!!!) preamps into either of my two power amp inputs (GT120 and Model T).

Newest enclosure batch arrived. The two color images in the top row are too dark (darker than the pic), although the right one is passable. I thought about maybe putting a paper version of the same image on top of the left one to kind of fix it, maybe with a self-adhesive plastic sheet.

The white bleed through is also annoying on the red ones, but not as bad in real life as in the picture. The white around the text is also too thin so it's a bit hard to read. But all in all it went ok - for the single-color ones I need to keep the white layer slightly smaller than the color layer I guess.

Not mentioning names intentionally in case anyone wants to guess what they are, although some are very easy based on the control labels (plus one obviously has the name, heh). The Two Tone Fuzz has see-through Bender's on it, so the chromium comes through, but tbh they should be bigger for the effect to work well. Would have needed a bigger enclosure for that I guess.

That reverb looks great.

Got the new powder drops from LMS, as I was thinking they look pretty much identical to the tayda silver hammer. Some 3pdts and a blue box came today as well. Unfortunately a few days after ordering these boards i was dinking around on the breadboard with the circuit and discovered a change I wanted to make so I re did the scheme completely overhauled the layout and ordered new ones. Not sure what ill do with these. 😂

That’s fast! I bought a 1590J because that’s the one I couldn’t get from Tayda.

The upgrade from my cheapo Weber (lol Weller) came in the mail today. Based on what other people say, I’m anticipating a noticeable improvement.View attachment 104818

Dang, I didn't get a mug with mine! I covet the knob on yours. Mine is the push buttons and it can be a pain in the ass to make adjustments.
(Not that I do that much, I just run mine on HOT heh).

Only suggestion I can make is make sure you get real T-18 tips. There's some vendors that are selling 900M tips as T-18. They fit but they are longer and you lose heat at the tip. I use Hakko branded tips pretty much exclusively anymore. Not worth the hassle dealing with crappy cheap pot metal tips.

Nice, thanks for the heads up. I ordered directly from HakkoUS, and I had a choice of “gift” with the order. It’s a nice solid mug!

Same, those are the ones I got, too.
