CONTEST Win a Date with Fig 😘

CONTEST
to preface this story. my wife is from ecuador and she doesnt speak english. I speak spanish but I used too mistranslate simple things like "here" or "there"... so when we first go on a date I'm waiting for an hour at my apartment wondering where she is... then she calls and asks "Hey where are you? ive been waiting for an hour." of course i messed up my translation. i was supposed to meet her at her house not mine. Then we go out to dinner at a nice restaurant here in chicago. after that we go back to my apartment and i show her my guitars and all the pedals im working on. she asks how i build them so i show her how to solder a few resistors. and she turns to me with a concerned look on her face and asks "you arent making bombs are you?" i cracked up, realizing how this situation could have been misconstrued. anyways she put out that night. now we are married.
It's a new twist on the old Italian line "let me show you my butterfly collection"

I don't want no gift as I've already got more than my fair share.

I have many date stories. The good ones are not germane to this thread (no, they don't involve German girls). Slide in my PMs ;)

Instead I'll post this recipe featuring medjool dates by the OG Chef John

Thank you everyone, and especially fig!

I sprung for a couple of pre-soldered FV-1 pedals (partly because it saves me any possible headache with the soldering, and partly because Tayda doesn't have them and Musikding charges about the same for a loose one as the pre-soldered one on PPCB), some modulations (since I have more drives than I know what to do with now) and of course the obligatory couple of drive pedals.

It's going to be a lot of work to get graphics done for some of them, but it's also a bunch of fun. I'll be sure to post at least the enclosures eventually, I'll look into maybe even doing demos and build reports.

Nice. FWIW, the EU distributor is here:

Oof: "Orders to European countries are delivered by a tracked courier at a rate of €19.50 (5-7 working days)."

So ordering two pieces would come out to around 47€ (plus VAT). Obviously with more the shipping part would go down. I think it would be cheaper to get small numbers from Musikding, the breakeven point would be around 4 pieces I think? But then you can also order other stuff from Musikding at the same time.

Ok, that's painful. One time when it makes sense to be in the UK!

There are some in the PPCB store, too. I have soldered one or two myself, that’s why I order them pre soldered, also.
