Your current game play-through

I recently resumed playing No Man’s Sky which I had great expectations for when it came out. I’m now over 60 hours in and I still have great expectations…

We got Super Mario Wonder and have been playing it with the kids every now and then. It’s a really fun game although the coop mode is very chaotic.

I also spent a lot of time playing Enter the Gungeon and I stopped playing it a couple months ago.

Gotta get me TotK and Baldur’s Gate (I’m gonna need a PS5 first).

I bought a switch a year ago that’s collecting dust now. Played some Zelda and Diablo II remastered. Might buck up and buy the yearly pass thing so I can play some classic NES/SNES games though…those are more my speed these days. 😂

Just started The Witcher 3 (I know, I’m late to the party). The last full play through for me was Cyberpunk 2077, prior to the Phantom Liberty DLC. That game was a blast. I also highly recommend Deathloop for anyone that enjoys a FPS and has a next-gen console. I still feel that Deathloop has some of the best voice acting and storyline in a video game, it’s a lot of fun.

Games? Hmm. I've only got a PS3 and a Wii. Last one I played through was Assassin's Creed II. Super fun game. That was over the summer. I haven't touched anything since then.

Does anyone remember the game Manhunt for PS2?

I’ve been trying like hell to find someone who remembers it and I’m worried it’s a situation like in the creepy pasta where the people remember the children’s show but they were all actually watching static.
It is real. I always wanted to play it but for some reason never did.

Yep. I had it for the original XBOX but can't say for sure if I ever actually played it.

I just got an Xbox series S and got a Game pass trial. Its funny that its the newest system that I have yet I mostly downloaded some older games I want to replay. I'm probably 10 hours into Fallout 3 again.

I'm in the middle of my umpteenth playthrough of New Vegas. Decided to configure the Tale of Two Wastelands mod so one can do Fallout 3 and then New Vegas in one go—putting 3 in the NV version of the engine.

I say singular "mod," when in actuality you need many of them to smooth out the experience, but man the main process for getting it working was involved. Kinda neat they made it all work, and the documentation was relatively easy to follow. It's just one misstep and you've got to delete it all and start again. The merging of the two games takes about as long as downloading both, seven though they're already on your local machine.

I tell you what, Fallout 3 in the fnv engine with hardcore mode on (only way I do FNV anymore) is challenging. Managing food and water in Capitol Wasteland is a right PitA. Also the DT system makes things …interesting. Everything is a bullet sponge. But you do get a mix of 3 & NV perks so you can craft AP ammo.

Thought about getting Cyberpunk 2077 since it's on sale, but I'd probably want to upgrade my CPU. Going from my ryzen 2700x to something like a 56/5800X3D (drop in upgrade) would net something like a 1.8x performance boost. I've stuck with it as long as I have, because I just don't play intensive (i.e. new) titles. I also don't want to/can't build a new system, mostly because it would force all upgrade to Windows 11. When 10 finally goes dark, I'll probably just move to Linux.

They also released it on the Wii, somehow. I remember strangling a guy with a plastic shopping bag in that game.

I love that game. I finished it a few months ago (I was also very late to the party).

I am a PC "gamer", if you can even call me that with as infrequently as I play. I am somewhere in the middle of Assassin's Creed 3, so I don't think some of you are as late to the party as I am. I did just finish the main story of Just Cause 3.
