Well I just finished my layout of a Marshall 2203 Superlead JCM800 100watt (I think that's all the names, crazy marshall names) and now I have to generate the chassis only drawing for the machine shop since I cut the chassis down from standard 27" to 24" and made it 2" wider.... I also made several improvements in wire layouts which in my opinion make it MUCH easier to follow. Especially in the fuse area.
edited: Oh, and I added a dual bias adjustment I "borrowed" from Rob Robinette's Bassman layout.
Bodacious platter of food you got there! At 67 years old, I can no longer eat a lot. I'd have like half an ench and be done.....

Farmer of America, we salute you! I am waiting on power to be restored to my neighborhood. 24hrs w/o and no end in sight. Don’t they know I have soldering to do! Well that and a house to keep warm and mouths to feed….priorities and all.
I've build a few JTM50's, circa 1967 (year, not model number) which was just prior to the 1959. Here's Metroamp's layout for that model. I grabbed it off his shared google drive in zip format which has about 30 of his designs!!!

I finally got home about an hour ago, it was a long 14-hour day. I’ve got a MK1 Tone Bender almost done on the breadboard but I’m too pooped to mess with it tonight so I’m going to watch the dude from Psionic Audio talk shit about some amp lol.
Now I'm hungry, best I can hope for at this hour is a frozen burrito to nuke, and if not might have to buzz over to me Mum's, I'm sure she's got some frozen burritos. Just what I need before bed at quarter to 2am...
I've started breadboarding again after a long absence, on a kind of 'back to basics' trip. This entails rummaging through old assemblages (of which there are plenty) to clear some space.
Unexpected benefit: finding a stack of idle 100nF WIMAs, which will be returned to stock as soon as probable. IOW the universe is not holding its breath on a due date here.
Another more obvious one: testing for Vref only works if the other end of the voltage divider is connected to ground. False readings ensue unless this connection is made. As always, much to learn ...
So I've spent much of this weekend breadboarding @Robert's BBW (BBE sonic maximizer stompbox thingie) for fun and comparing his schematic to Aion's one, which has switchable frequencies and is a little more complex in wiring as a consequence. Short of an 18nF film cap, I've been trying a deep dive into RC calculations and the consequences on frequency response (probably negligible) of subbing a 15n, a 12n, and a 10n and adjusting associated values accordingly.
As I said, haven't done this in a long while but it's very convenient for testing and tweaking stuff before committing to a PCB purchase. I'm sorely tempted to have done with it and just spring for the boards but I'm trying to reduce my current backlog, not add to it. The Hydra and other PPCB goodies are wending their way here, so by rights I ought to finish these first.
Famous last words, I know.
Have a great weekend folks, thanks for reading, and go build lots of interesting and successful stuff meanwhile.
Yesterday I spent the day with the kids. We went to Home Depot for the monthly kids workshop (highly recommended and free!) and then we went to the public library for a musical rendition of Cinderella (which was not great, nobody could really sing) and then playground.
I’m currently dealing with some issues in my left shoulder so I just rested after all that.
