The Dane is one of my favorite ODs period. One hell of a drive that has so much usable tone throughout the entire gain range!
The BOTTOM knob is probably my favorite to play with!
I think the Black is neutral & has less chance of taking the Focal point of the Main Graphic that you will be using on the top Face but that could change if Black hardware is used.

This triple Last Gasp Extravaganza... It all works, but I can't seem dial the oscillator whine down enough to my liking. But, judging by the few videos I've seen of the Sick Pitch Jr, this might be normal. Getting the best results with a super old NatSemi LM565 and 4580.
The Octavella (Octone) and Gomorrah (Deuteronomy) clones are pretty badass, though. Really digging the boxy synth subs of the Gomorrah- it's a lil more aggressive than the Shocktaves I've built, and the tracking feels a ton better

I think you go one way or the other, just don't mix & match chrome & black — like Boss-style knobs with silver-centres and black grip area.
ALL chromey hardware including knobs, switches and bolts.

ALL black-out hardware, knobs, switches and bolts.
I think I'll go chrome for the build I'm thinking of, but that could change... all black looks killer, too. All depends on the theme...

That color is gorgeous. I think it'd also look superb with that bottom+side portion (can't think of what that bit is actually called) in semigloss black with black hardware blending in
