I planned to take a couple aerial photos of the back yard this morning but the fog was too thick...

Since I already had the drone out I thought I'd see if I could fly above the fog, just for the hell of it.

Spent some time in the Rockies this week and here are a few pics. The weather was absolutely perfect until we got back into Denver yesterday to fly home. Hot and hazy from the fires- one of which we saw the beginning of on Monday that is shown in the 3rd pic. Back to reality.

Big Purdy flies again! Put her all back together I took her to the field and flew her. Flies just like she always did!
Got a few small places to clean up on the covering but she's back!

The spinner cozy I had my neighbor sew for me. Keeps the carbon fiber spinner from getting chewed up during transport. Works great. I use cut pool noodles to protect and hold straight the elevator during transport.

The Doggles protect her eyes at highway speeds, the backseat is quite windy compared to the frontseat, but the back gets better SPM (smells per mile).

Didn't feel a thing! Fun fact, there are over 200 quakes in CA every day but most happen in uninhabited areas.... I was a block away from the epicenter of the '71 quake and 4 miles from the epicenter of the '94 quake. Both very VERY bad quakes.... Both very early in the morning.

Still, let it be known that I appreciate Finland big time! Back in the 2004 I traveled by plane for the first time, by myself, to a black metal concert with Enochian Crescent, Satanic Warmaster and some other stuff. A friend moved there permanently. And I keep a close eye to the music scene, which remains amazing. Where a lot of music got stale due to an overload of active bands, Finnish takes on extreme genres still seem capable to bring something else to the table. And even if it inevitably runs out of steam like the rest, there's an untouched backlog of things to keep me occupied for decades to come.
