It's always been good for us. I have done this a couple times and the four has always been fresh and bug free for as long as it's lasted us, at least 9 months to a year.

Edit: I just ask d Google and it said that vacuum sealed flour can last up to two years. Three y ars in the freezer. Good to know!

Was out of town for a while, but had binged on making KiCad layouts before then. Just got back and had 3 JLC orders waiting for me (3 PCBs each, to keep shipping super cheap) - all my own layouts:
  • Dipper Compressor - (Dylan159's "That" Compressor)

  • Green Honeycreeper - (Mad Professor Sweet Honey)

  • Red Snapper clone (I didn't give this its own name)
Built the Dipper and Honeycreeper tonight. Honeycreeper sounds great - better in my mind than the Joyo clone ("Sweet Baby") I craigslisted. Dipper seems to work but the compression effect is very subtle, will need more testing. Finally, this is my second PCB order of the Shiny Cowbird, first one had a few bad footprints, but it still worked. Really like it as a unique nasally fuzz. So at least 3 of these are confirmed to do something. I'd be building a few more of these right away, except that I ran out of A100K pots and am waiting on Tayda.

Will start putting the Dylan159 layouts on Github, as I sort out BOM and other deatils.

No - it's 5x of each PCB, and each order was 3 different PCBs. What I meant is that if I order 3 different PCBs per order (e.g. two medium-sized PCBs and one smaller one), it won't bump to the next shipping tier and I can get it shipped for ~$1.50 for each order, instead of ~$8. Plus for me it's nice to have more smaller packages than a single large one, and allows more incremental layouts.

yup... its a 63' decklid.. My entire life I've owned several aircooled VW's at a time. I have all kinds of parts around here on shelves in the garage.. I'm always tinkering.. I have let just about all of them go for now because I've been in a divorce/lawsuit situation though... I do have a 56' oval window beetle project parked at my friends for my next adventure.(y)

Well, they work. Sorta.

But it looks like the pitch is actually closer to 3.81mm.

I was able to bend the leads on these and get em to go in.

It's not perfect, but it'll work. Honestly, if I had a mouser cart put together I'd add three of these:

Nice! I'm gonna chuck a couple of them in my mouser cart. I gotta get me some of those resistors with the value printed on them too (after I burn through my current stash)! Looks like your almost done with that one! Can't wait to see the build report!

Vishay-Dale RN55s (mil spec & derated - says 1/8th watt, they're really 1/4) and CMF55s (civilian version, not derated).

Hhonestly, I only do em if I can get 100 for under 15 bucks. Regardless, it's spendy for what tend to be the cheapest components in a build, but there's something about em that I really enjoy working with them. Thick leads, unique look, yada yada.
