MIAB pedals

I always enjoy making a new Japanese-site discovery, whether through my own Internet-deep-dives or through a respected referral.

For example: The first Soldano 100 I saw was on a Japanese site, but by the time I stopped putting off buying the PCB and figured out how to order it, the circuit was popping up elsewhere.
Also some wee bitty builds from Albit that were super cool, super tiny.

Now that I see the PCB of the Silver Jubilee, it looks like it could be a crunchbox (with marshall tone stack)?

Any idea what's inside JF8R4 module?

Is it just daughterboard for all the JFETs used in a circuit? Or module with MuAmp?

Crazy Tube Circuits Heatseeker.
"Utilizing an all-analog JFET circuit, running on 27 volts via an internal voltage boost (DO NOT plug higher than 9V DC power supply), we have captured the tone and feel of three British tube amplifiers synonymous with the sound of rock and roll with excellent clean-to-mean dynamic response. A smart switching circuit follows the signal path and respective gain stages tuned for each amp and combines them with a 3-band EQ and power amp simulation circuit for thundering rock tones. We have also extended the range of the presence control beyond the original’s so that the user will be able to match the pedal to any amp or gear setup."

Well... this paragraph certainly sounds interesting

I'm obviously biased, but I'm consistently disappointed at how few Crazy Tube Circuits pedals have, you know, crazy tube circuits.
But they're using jfets, the tube of the 21st century

Just kidding, I love jfet circuits, but it is indeed a bit funny that a lot of their preamps are not tube based

Where do the name and logo come from?

Back in the early 2000s my friends were calling me "crazy tube guy" because of my love for tubes and my NOS tube collection. Just for fun I photoshopped a funny face of me inside a tube and that was the inspiration when I was looking for a name for my very first designs.
Damn I gave away my Starlight for cheap when I check reverb prices. I know they are over the top sometimes but I think the real value is 1/3 of what reverb always shows me...

Kind of surprised by how compressed it sounds despite running on 27V internally. Still seems like a decent circuit, albeit very "JFET-ish" which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The switches and enhance knob are a nice touch and seem to add a good amount of versatility.
