You've mistaken the common method with the "Validated Process" (also known as the "Validated Procedure" in Europe), ie...

• The common method goes to ground.

• The Validated Process goes to VREF.

I ended up on a hifi forum once. I figured that’s It’s a strange hobby for people who:

• Didn’t pay attention in physics class
• Earned a lot more than me
• Strangely werent into music that much

@Robert - on the Stock Fuzz (Strymon Canoga) I am having some challenges locating any toroidal 680uH inductors of that size (looks like ~10mm OD in pic above), the ones I'm finding so far on Mouser are much larger, ~25-30mm OD. That thick copper wire suggests that I want low DCR, too. I do see some axial low-DCR inductors, e.g., from Wurth. Any suggestions for toroidal sources? Thanks in advance.

bwhahaha...... I thought about it.. But I said you know what let's let the newbies have a shot at building a real pedal instead of a snap together kit.. I look forward to the troubleshooting threads... I hang out there all the time anyways.
