Hi all, Hope you´re doing well.

I have an issue with my Abyss. it does the vibe sound really well for some time, but sundently the vibe sound dissapierd.
Happens when I touch in a Pot OR if I play it for a while the sound vanish.

Tried to change the IC but the same happens.

I really liked this pedal when works but like this is useless :)

Any suggetions or help from your side?

Thank you very much

Hi Sorry for my late reply, I was sick for a couple of days but now I am able to post some pictures.

Was playing with the pedal today and the effect never dissapeard before testing I loosen the pots completly. But they were not tight,
strange if this can be this the issue ?

I will continuum playing to see if that can be the problem but honestly the pots were almost loosen.

That transistor is in a socket. Could it be when that moves around? try soldering the transistor in place and see if it works better.
Well, I can do that as well, will try and testing after with more extensive use.

Is the dual pot hitting a component? You often need something between the pot and the PCB.
No, I add some properly stickers on the back of the Pots below the PCB (y)

I don't trust sockets for transistors unless they're those big rounds ones which cost too much. I have had too many problems with those little pin strip socket things. Neil is a seal so knows about these things.
Normally I expand the transistors leads to fit tight into the sockets.

What kind of stickers? Electrical tape or similar is usually not sufficient because sharp component leads can puncture it.

Your symptoms sound very much like one of the pots (my guess is the dual-gang) is making contact with the back of the PCB.

Will post here a picture of the stickers, they are the ones Musikding adds on their kits a round black sticker with some height like 2/3mm.

Ahh, like rubber bumpers? If that's the case they should be substantial, but I'd double check visually for anything odd... look closely at your metal LED bezel or any other hardware that could be making contact with something it shouldn't.

I suppose a loose connection/bad solder isn't out of the question, but the fact that loosening the pots clears up the issue points to a short.

When the pots are loose (or out of the enclosure) a single component lead coming in contact with their metal case usually doesn't cause any issues. The metal case is electrically floating so everything behaves as it should...

The problem arises when you tighten the pot down to the metal enclosure which is directly connected to ground by your Input/Output jacks.

When you loosen the hardware the connection to ground goes away and everything works again.

Hi again, I decided to do a video on what issue I am having with this VIbe PCB

I am thinking that can be a stereo Pot failure, but would like to have your inputs, thank you BTW.
