I knew it would sell out fast. Even going and looking at it on the site it was super slow. Muff heads were all over it. Probably mostly scalpers.

Eh, Ram’s Head is overrated. But at least no good for nothing socialist unions were involved in making this solid gold pedal in very low numbers designed to bump the resale price up…

I'll say this, buying a large format fuzz that came in a wooden slider box covered in Cyrillic was an experience that stayed with me. I'm glad some more people get to have this. Though I'm sure none of the people who got ahold of them were 15 yo kids like I was. Perhaps it's more magical when the rest of your rig is shit.

I was just talking to a friend of mine that other day about how I was surprised Mike Matthews hadn't ordered some new transistors and had them rebadged 2n5133 for some kind of Muff reissue they'd charge out the ass for. I'm willing to bet this is the exact same circuit valueswise as the reissue Rams Head and that J Mascis signature muff.

Hard for me to justify buying any commercial MUff when I’ve built a few (and even added switches to cover other iterations). It looks cool, and it’s going to be interesting to see how high the flippers go in reselling them
