Comparing 2 versions of the DRV (Informant)

Hey all,
It's been a while since I've posted and almost as long since I've built a pedal.
I recently picked up a Tracksuit from Effects Layouts which is their take on the DRV.
I was looking and comparing it to the Informant that PedalPCB makes and I noticed that the PedalPCB version has a 2.2m resistor at the input. This is missing from the Tracksuit.
I know I can add one in easily, but would it make a difference?

It wouldn't be necessary. That resistor is usually there to prevent popping when switching in true bypass.
That looks like a buffered bypass.

The resistor is optional for those who want to wire it up true-bypass.

It won't hurt anything if you install it in a buffered bypass configuration, but it isn't necessary.

It's worth noting, however, that the resistor is present in the original.
