So, I am wanting to build a deflector when they are back in stock. I have an extra fv-1 that's on a BYOC lil' reverb pcb. how challenging is it to desolder an SMD fv-1?

Not bad. Get some flux and some solder wick, flux the pins well and drag your iron and wick across the legs.

Is your BYOC board populated with other components yet?

I've heard (unofficially) that we might can expect some FV-1's in 3 - 4 weeks....

It might be worth hanging in there a little longer.
I think I can wait a little longer.

the board is a mess. It was completed and working but it had noise issues that I was unable to troubleshoot, so it has become a donor board.
