Two requests for the price of one. I have no info for the Grunge pedal, but I know that there were a few different versions…

Also, how about the Buzz Box? It was never asked for, and taken as a great joke, and was the worst selling DOD pedal of all time. I believe that it is a regular Blue Box circuit with a higher gain circuit…

Upvoted!. I've built the Griffin Effects Buzz King a few times. I love DOD Lamb era, I love weird loud crazy effects, and I love the Melvins. But the Buzz Box is an unusable piece of shit. The upside is that the reputation and rarity makes it one of my highest profit builds. So I build them happily.

what I remember from when I was 15, playing my Affinity Strat through my Crate 2x12” (surely the best possible pedal platform) - the gain control went from “too much gain” at zero to “way too much gain” at noon to “way too much gain and also now there’s too much noise” at max. The “face” control added that, like, nasal sharp quality, almost cocked-wah ish.

I thought my chunky palm-muted power chords sounded *just* like my favorite 90s punk records, but I was 15 so wtf did I know my ear was absolute dogshit.

Regardless, can’t wait to build this one out of pure nostalgia.
