Experiences with Cornish inspired boards?

Hi all.

looking as a couple of Pete Cornish inspired builds for my next experiments, specifically pedalpcb’s versions of the G2 and SS3.
What are peoples experiences?

Definitely build the Cornish buffer into it. The NG-3 is my favorite fuzz but it badly needed the buffer to behave.

The Germanium II and Semi-Sweet 3 both include the buffered bypass.

The Nugget does not, but I'll look into integrating it into the circuit (as well as the external Bias control).

Did you add the c-buffer by PPCB board? I didn't love my nugget build, but I attributed that to maybe using bad 1N34A's

Yeah, I used the PPCB C-buffer on my final build. Also made the bias trimmer external. That is the most important control on the thing IMO.

Thanks for your comments. I can’t read schematics yet, so wasn’t sure if the g2 or the ss3 were buffered. I assumed that they were, but good to have it confirmed
