middle school shop class aesthetic
"rough hewn"

It doesn't look like there are any sales, which is shocking. Apparently the main idea is to mount a cymbal inside the body for resonance?

"These are really interesting sounding guitars that are for people who like beautiful novel sounds. Despite the rough proof of concept looks the guitars sound warm and beautiful.

These were primarily made with very basic hand tools with an emphasis on bringing sound out of the materials. Rather than a measured approach, intuitive artistry and instinctive tactile problem solving was explored to discover and innovate."

....wut?

A good friend of mine built his first guitar in his 7th grade shop class. Cut the fret slots with a ruler and a razor blade. Looks way better than whatever is going on here.

I walked into this guy's studio once many years ago and the quality of these blew me away. These are some very nice, very metal guitars. He was a Gibson authorized repair person.

He told me a story about how how pissed he got when one day he was boxing up a custom order for overseas shipping and one of his buddies walked in as he put it in the case and picked it up and started strumming hard on it while wearing a studded wrist band and gouged the fuck out of it.

I can't decide if I like double necks or not. I owned an Agile version of an EDS-1275 a number of years ago and it was a pig. Way too many tuners and the pickups weren't that great. I traded it for a mexican strat and $200 and felt I came out on top

I feel like the body of a double neck really needs to be designed to not look like two guitar bodies squished together

If you want to hit the bottom of the barrel.. there's a guy who built a guitar out of his uncle's skeleton etc (fully legally not a crazed body chopper).

I can understand being laid to rest with your guitar, amp and pedalboard etc.. but being laid to rest as a guitar.. not so.
