Harley Benton iso power supplies

Saw an article today about HBs new line of isolated power supplies. Seems pretty legit and pricing is awesome (as expected)

Cheap too. I wonder if they're actually individually isolated outputs.
It would appear that they are and is probably why the article I read was making such a fuss about them. I sort of understand why the regular brands cost a lot more but there was definitely an opportunity to just completely screw up the market especially if these things turn out to be actually good

I had the PowerPlant ISO-1 Pro and sold it again. Some boost, dirt and fuzz pedals were too noisy, it was really annoying.
But it seems they redid the whole series, mine was an early one, I don't know.

I've been using the "PowerPlant Junior" ("Galvanically isolated") for a very long time and never had this issue

Got this one for cheap, so far so good but I'm not a pro or play gig.

Back to the original question. Are these truly isolated given the price? There are plenty of fakes out there on Amazon claiming isolated with a dirt cheap price.

Not sure how much it matters but usually the ones that are actually isolated accept an AC plug instead of a dc barrel plug. These new HB ones accept AC so that’s what made me think it was legit

Those new ones look pretty good I must say. I might have to check one out. I don't know how to check for isolation, but I found this video.

You think could be comparable with a Cioks DC7?

I'm looking for this Harley Benton PowerPlant but I'm not sure

I bought two of the Powerplant ISO-10 AC PRO gimmicks to power a 20-pedal board being constructed Soon(tm). I'll report back about noise. The rig contains a DSM Simplifier, plenty of loud aggressive dirt, and a bunch of stereo effects.

After picking up some new wire strippers and making like 16 patch cables this afternoon, I plugged in the two ISO-10 AC PRO gimmicks mentioned above. They provide delightful power to the 14 pedals I tested with:

Keeley Comp Pro -> Tumnus Dlx -> Fathom -> Westwood -> Wampler Catapulp -> Sansamp YYZ -> Empress Fuzz -> KMA Wurm -> Mesa Express 5:50+

FX Loop: MXR Reverb -> Boss DD-200 -> Neunaber Expanse -> Walrus Julianna -> EHX Platform

I will say, when I tested with my strat, with all the pedals off, it was not totally silent. (Now, should I expect it to be completely silent sitting in my apartment with questionable power, right in front of it with 14 pedals? Maybe not. Truthfully I've never had guaranteed nice power and nice enough equipment to answer this question.) But it was a mile cleaner than the two 1spot daisy chains that powered this beforehand. Now I gotta see if I have an old tube or an unshielded guitar or bad lighting or what the what. And also, my Tumnus footswitch pops/clicks very loudly... wonder if they all do that...

Interesting results. I’m just starting to set up my pedal board and it’s funny all the possible areas to introduce noise.. gotta have patience. I will definitely be looking at these just due to price but may just be fine with a CS-7 and some daisy chains

I probably would have picked up a CS-7 myself but coming up around 18-19 devices, three CS-7s of them just doesn't make sense for my board. Hope you find what you're looking for! Let me know if I can answer more questions.

Do you ever chain pedals together like drives? May be able to not need so many supplies. I can’t really deny the value of the HB unit lol sk maybe I’ll just give it a shot too

Do you ever chain pedals together like drives?
I was previously, using two 1spot wall-warts and two 8-chains, but developing a rig around a DSM Simplifier I wanted to make everything as clean as possible. In the current design, everything has it's own port.
