Awe shucks! I hate to say but you missed your chance on that one. The package has arrivedI would almost be willing to drive a headphone amp to you personally just to see the reaction when you bust out a guitar and headphones in the delivery room. Talk about trouuuuuuble.

My little headphone amp (the lil Marshall stack) got modified so I now use the headphone jack as a speaker jack to drive a cab. It sounds awesome.

I (don't) use a zoom g1 four. It sounds pretty good for practice but I just can't get into playing with headphones. I find the cables annoying, if I have headphones on I'm not doing a good job of paying attention to what's going on around me, and I can't get into trying to play loud guitar softly

Yeah, that's the ticket. That MOTU appliance can do quite a lot without even being plugged into a computer, actually. And the headphone amp in it sounds awesome.

Hi Fig, I've been using a Line6 Pocket Pod (with guitar) for years. It sounds pretty decent and you can save your own custom rig presets. My only complaint is that my pedal setup causes the PP's input stage to clip in a way that doesn't sound bad but also doesn't sound like my amp (Blues Jr). I too am on the lookout for something that sounds good and also is pedal-friendly (and bank account-friendly). Hope you get some good advice in your thread, I'm interested too.

Alternatively, sell it and buy a full size amp with the proceeds. The used market for those has gone nuts lately.

I generally just plug into my Katana Mk2 100 Head... then into logic with headphones on....
I don't really like any of the headphone amps that Ive heard... But I would love to try a rockman X100!.

Tube amp -> reactive dummy load -> CAB M+ -> interface is my go-to at home recording setup. Hands down the best recorded tone I've ever had, and I still get the benefit of having the tube amp react to my pedals the same way it always has but without having to blow my eardrums out or futz with micropones.
