First post! I boxed up an informant tonight. I already have a muroidea-rat on my board, so I was shooting it out with the informant to see how much different it is (I was able to dial in pretty similar sounds on both), and I noticed a faint squeal/ high frequency thing happening. I have a little compact mixer I use as a headphone amp- I maxed the high EQ on the mixer and the squeal got nice and loud. Seemed to be from the informant, and it would go away with the volume pot at max, and come back around 3 o clock. I did a search here and found a post about a squeal from a faulty charge pump on a kliche build- I had an extra LT1054, so I swapped that out, and no more squeal! Now it sounds great.
