I am currently building a Tracksuit/DRV from Effects Layouts.
I was wondering if anyone knows what could work as a substitution? Tayda is out of the MAX1044CPA's right now.

I think you want the SCPA for audio effects.

this is a bit old, but do you mean one should use a TC1044SCPA over the TC1044SEPA for pedal building? I was under the assumption (I’m guessing falsely now) the the difference between the two had to do with temperature tolerance?

According to the data sheets, it looks like it’s just the operating temp diffs.

The “S” suffix is what matters most, as it denotes the boost pin oscillator frequency is above what we can hear (as long as pins 1+8 are connected)…otherwise they are whiny bastards at 10khz.

SCPA is 0°C to +70°C
SEPA is – 40°C to +85°C

That’s good to know as I’m doing a dual Klon for a friend that’s going to put a strymon in the FX loop. Will see what happens.
