NAMM 2024

I could use free NAMM tickets. It would save me money because I can't afford them being on disability and very little Social Security.

Time for another obnoxious thing you can see at the Sushi Box booth (4246) at NAMM next month. Last year I tried out a couple pedals at other people's booths, and everyone was using like $50 headphone amps to show off their $300 pedals, and it didn't make sense to me. So I built three of these guys to keep at the booth. Now with deluxe integrated headphone stand!

I don't have any weird pictures of things to post, but I will continue to mention that I am SUPER EXCITED for NAMM! I leave a week from today so I can get in early and get my stuff together before setting up for the show on the 23rd. All my stuff has already been shipped to my parents' place in California and is waiting for me there, so I just need to show up and grab it.

I'll have a bunch of my commercial pedals as well as a couple of the C2C things (Nobelium and Black Eye for sure, maybe a couple others). Tony Puleo (former Blue Man Group bassist, Gallien Krueger endorsed artist, Mike Lull endorsed artist, etc etc) will be doing pedal demos every day at 1PM and 4PM at my booth 4246.

I'M SO EXCITED

Also it's currently -4 degrees outside here and I'm looking forward to southern California.

AWESOME!

Is Mr Puleo a friend of yours?

At any rate, congrats on however you managed to snag him to demo.

In case I forget between now and then: SAFE TRAVELS!

Cool! I remember when you first announced the Venus X, I coveted it.

I still covet that pedal, but I want to attempt to build it myself, but I know it's part of your commercial line.

Great signature !

That would be a bear of a DIY project :P Venus X has over 150 components, including two SMPS (one for a 30V rail and one for a 240V rail) and a LQFP-48 DSP for a custom digital impulse response. It's all SMD and it BARELY fits in a 1590XX

But thanks, I'm really proud of it :) It was a lot of work and I came really close to giving up on it a dozen times, but dammit the result sounds so good.

Safe travels! I sat in the Portland airport a few years ago watching the booth I was working in opening up on Thursday morning via a Facebook stream. Felt stressed and rushed all day until I rolled into the show around 3PM. :ROFLMAO:
