New JHS Pedal Announcement

Pat Metheny sounds exactly like Kenny G to me, plus the unbeatable arrogance of a jazz player. Elevators were created for Pat Metheny's music.

Edit: I found my comment below that video from 4 years ago haha

I mean what the hell is this?

That was his experimental phase with the Roland guitar synth. But that song “Are you Going With Me” the “head” or melody is that almost back ground synth you hear before the soloing. One of my favorite Metheny group tunes.

I'm from the same area as ol Pat. Back in the day, when we would do conferences with high school jazz band, one of the regular panel members was his brother, Mike Metheny. There would be kids in the crowd interrupting with things like "You're no Pat", "Learn to play", and a bunch of cleverly cruel shit. Kids are mean, but it was kind of funny in the moment.

Let's continue shitting on this mkgee dude. Thsi old racist fart endorses him

I mean it's a blatant ripoff of the Police

He should team up with Greta Van Fleet and do the ultimate ripoff.
Ok, what the fuck was that. That's my first time hearing this. Not only is that a ripoff of the police, it's not even original in terms of ripping off- this sounds like a bunch of 2010s rap beats that were coming out at that time. Except not as good. I don't get it.

Bit late to the party, but I believe that's a later version of the 424, either the Mk2 or Mk3. Here's the audio path from the Mk1 service manual with no transistor gain stage - the input goes straight into the op-amp:

According JHS's description, it sounds like they keep going after the pan control and adapt the two additional op-amp stages off to the right once the channels are mixed together:

A bit redundant in my view, especially because both Gain 2 and Master Volume go to zero (and Gain 2 can't really overload U102A at all since the gain is only 2.34) but hey, if they can sell it...
