Picks, where do they go?

Seriously, I put the guitar down, went from one room to another, came immediately back, and the pick is gone.

It's a white pick too, which would show up easily on any of my floors. And it's the second white pick I lost in similar manner.

This is why I don't buy those expensive picks.

I once spent like 10 minutes looking for a pick and couldn't find a single one. Not even in my top drawer where I keep the bags of picks. I finally just decided to play my acoustic with my thumb and when I picked it up it was filled with picks. Apparently my daughter thought that d be a good place for them

I bought a sampler of Gravity picks a few years ago. I now have exactly one left. No clue where the others went. Never took ‘em out of the house. Maybe there’s inter-dimensional aliens helping themselves to our picks.

For whatever reason I don't really lose picks very much. When I gigged I guess I lost some, but after I stopped I think I lose maybe one or two per year? And I'm pretty sure those also show up eventually. I think I still have some of the first picks I got when I started playing, or at least some of the first ~10 or so.

Edit: I have thrown some away though once they're too worn down.

I almost never lose picks but they have tendancy to wander from time to time. I still have picks (purple Dunlops) from the 80's that saw regular duty and they're so shredded from string scrapes that you could cut bread with them. Still use them.

I've probably lost more Bic lighters than picks but that's just a lifestyle choices thing. I've never passed a pick to the left.
