Exactly. No one wants to have a mid-life crisis, so kids like me run from PRS. The funny thing with earth being a sphere, however, is that if you run far enough, long enough, you’re gonna run smack into PRS…on you 45th Bday…a gold Mc Carty with p90s…

That's not a bad idea. I was thinking LP Goldtop with P90s, but the McCarty would be damn fine. Only 2.2 years to go. I better start saving!
It can be powered by a 9 to 18v power supply so...................................

I mean, it's entirely possible to build a Klon without a charge pump... and there are charge pumps that can handle 18V (LTC1144 for example).

And luckily, with this pedal debacle, PRS prices will probably go down in the future. 2.2 years could see 20% off! 10 years may be 75%! (10 years for me).
...ah, who am I kidding. If the Silver Sky didn't kill them, nothing will...

I guess I'm in the minority here but I don't understand all the hate. My experience with their gear is limited but top notch. I've got a '99 PRS that has its factory setup and it's still probably my best playing guitar. It's been through hell and back. 1000's of rehearsals and shows in every environment imaginable. I've also recorded one of their amps and it was gorgeous
Seems like pedals would be a layup. He's got access to anything they'd need to do it right and a market that trusts them to deliver, so why not?
I don't think it's wise to advocate for anyone or any company to stay in their lane. Maybe there's something unique in one of those circuits that inspires one of us to do something new
Personally I think their branding and marketing is fine and I could care less about the cringey elements of the culture surrounding them, that's not their fault. They make good stuff but it isn't cheap so hobbyists with big wallets buy it...and so do world class musicians. That exact thing happens in every industry. I can't afford my favorite surfboard, but a surgeon who paddles out 3 days a year has two of them at his beach house
Lastly, when you consider the names of the other two pedals, "horsemeat" is the least ridiculous lol

Just heard the sound clips from Phil McKnight. I like the flanger. Just the wet/dry mix makes it for me.
Spoke to the manager, she says he has enough guitars.
