DANG!
That's worth getting for the enclosure alone! Well, it's worth it if you live Stateside. Shipping anywhere outside of Con-US would probably be prohibitive.
I'd rehouse the guts and sell (give) it away and keep the housing and put something else inside.
I was going to say I'd refinish it, then I had an idea...
A whole BEHRINGER-BASS'd [sic] Board where none of the guts are from Behringer, but all guts are booteeky DIY builds — some pedals might not even correlate to the graphics on the Behringer enclosure. For example, this one could be a massive one-knob Velcro-Fuzz with octave-up switch instead of a phaser.
At least you'd be less likely to have your board stolen, though thieves are opportunists and will take anything left unwatched.
Back to the VP1...
Even Griffin Effects wants $30 for an open-box used VP-1...
In Canada both Cosmo and L&M have it for CAD52.99, that's USD38.50 before shipping, if it's not at the local L&M (though they'll do inter-store transfers nor nothing). GC's USD22 = CAD30, that makes the VP1 at GC a bargoon, even with shipping!
So, looks like Guitar Center won't ship to Canada, that means a State-side pal needs to trans-ship it to me...
Then the cost of the Hammond style enclosure to swap it out and all that time and effort and possibly decorate the new enclosure to fetch a higher price on Kijiji — but how many people even want a rehoused Behringer? (I'd be forthright and tell people exactly what it is).
Ah well... Enjoy your VP1-dealio my southern friends.
