PSA: Fender.com Labor Day Sale

I did mention hazy right? :ROFLMAO: Nah I hear you. That’s why I use those mini protoboards for live testing, so my guitars don’t go anywhere near the tangled mess of bench.
this is my problem now everytime i go to test out a board i have to bring my ENTIRE setup to my bench....what a pain.

Spoken like a true entrepreneur 😉

OK, I've changed the name on my shipping address at Sweetwater to "A gift from the members of PedalPCB"....

She'll never know the difference.... now all we have to do is keep our stories straight.

Kidding of course, my wife actually encourages me to buy guitars... that makes this even harder. :ROFLMAO:
You will never get me to talk you into buying that Silver Sky, that Headstock is Sacrilege!!! :p

It's a tough one for me because the maple fretboard version looks strange to me, but the maple headstock against the rosewood fretboard looks odd too...

Also I don't really do "signature" gear...

But I really would like to have one.

I think it's the Headstock but maybe it's the Flock of Seagulls! :ROFLMAO:

I like the birds.

They don't fit quite as well on a Strat-like, but I wouldn't want a Custom 22 / 24 without them.

Don't mind me though, I'd also like to have the neck from a Sambora Strat with the star inlays. (if it wasn't for that danged locking nut)

I agree with you on the Custom 22 / 24 !
Personally, I would like Fender to have the option of the Telecaster Headstock on a Strat!!!
I know quite a few more players would buy the Telecaster 72 Deluxe if it didn't have the Strat Headstock!

Since everyone else is talking about strats and such here’s my American standard 09 bought cause of Albert Hammond jr….only other guitar I own not trying to make this a competition 🤣 and maybe a bass but that’s my girls haha

This is why I have no business looking at that CV Strat...

I already have a '56 Thin Skin Custom Shop. Joker has a neck like a baseball bat and I love it. :ROFLMAO:

After selling my CV I tried quite a few different Strats trying to find something similar with "Fender" on the headstock (yeah yeah I'm terrible)... This was the only thing that came close to the CV in my opinion. I tried a couple Classics, American Standards, an American Deluxe, and even a Vintage Reissue...

I preferred the Squier over all of them except maybe the American Deluxe, but wasn't fond of the weird contoured heel and noiseless pickups / S2 switch.

Also I wanted the glossy tinted neck. Not a chance I'm going to scuff those up with scotchbrite, I like the grippy feeling that everyone seems to hate so much.

And yet another DREAM guitar :love::love:

the finish coming through the pic is enough to make me say close it and never show anyone treat it like the briefcase in pulp fiction! :ROFLMAO:

It lives in the closet mostly...

Not so much because I'm afraid to play it, but my son has sensory issues so I don't get to play at the house much these days. I can barely play them unplugged... I'd get shut down pretty quickly if I were to crank up the 100 watter. :ROFLMAO:

I just use the Gibson because I'm familiar with it. I have a feel for what I should be getting from a circuit and it cuts down some of the noise I'd get from single coils. If a circuit is humming I know it's probably not the guitar.
