I can't imagine him playing a old 50s style Magnatone. If they're workin on a new amp I imagine it's still a Marshall with a cascaded preamp, but probably not the clipping diodes like the Jubilees or 900s.

fwiw, the inside of new magnatones is more master volume marshall than vintage magnatone so this isn't the stretch some of you think. billy gibbons been with them a minute
