Source for prebond?

Been using the SBP prestripped prebond 22g for all my builds and I love that wire... just getting a bit spendy for short lengths of wire...... When you search prebond on the interwebs tons of crap shows up? Anyone know a good source to buy this stuff in 25 ft or 50ft spools?

I’ve gone down that internet rabbit hole a couple times, but I just end up overwhelmed and give up. I’m doing everything with solid, but prebond sounds like a nice compromise in theory.

I buy 50 ft from NextGen here in Canada. $25. 22 awg topcoat. Weico, I think. Works great. I don’r remember where you’re located tho so may not help ya.

Currently using the 26awg and it holds bends well. I imagine 22awg would even more so. I went from crap wire to silicon to solid core to this. Been my favorite so far(actually, if you take the breaks out, I prefer solid core). Haven't gotten around to the prebonded stuff yet. Just check the specs and make sure your getting tinned copper. But if you love the prebonded stuff, you'll posibly dislike having to tin/fight strands as this has each stand pretinned but not bonded.
I'm used to working with stranded wire though.
Looks like single rolls are ~$8. It can always be a backup roll if you don't like it.

What solid core are you using?

I just have the fat insulation stuff for my amp builds. Is there a thinner insulation one somewhere?

Before I got into building pedals I had messed with some other breadboard stuff, and I had one of these sets from Amazon for making jumpers. It’s not anything special, but it’s gotten me through 20 pedals, and I haven’t had any breaks yet.

Funny side-note - I noticed a while back (April) that I was going to run out of black wire well ahead of the other colors, so I went ahead and ordered a back-up set. When I went into my Amazon history to grab that link I noticed that I messed up and ordered stranded instead of solid!

I just placed an order for the correct solid assortment. I’m glad this thread came up! Would have been a huge bummer to make that realization on the day I ran out.
