Please excuse the knock-off graphic (even if not 100% like for like copy), but the pedal will never go for sale and I liked it a lot.
For this build I selected the best components I could: ohmite carbon comp resistors, vishay axial capacitors and russian GT402 transitors.
Q1 has an hfe of 72 and Q2 has an hfe of 128, both with minimal leakage, obviously they bias perfectly!
Still I think it sounds very similar to the ge-side of my twin face (the first pedal I've ever built).
