Tayda UV Printing

I am super new to the DIY pedal game and don't have the necessary tools to accomplish turning my image that I want printed in to a vector and then export it as a pdf. Can anyone help me? I have access to inkscape and gimp.

Here is the latest that I got from Tayda. This was created with Inkscape and Affinity Designer. The design is from the Build doc and was modified to work with Tayda's requirements.
Looks dope. So were you able to create a pdf with layers with Inkscape?
Just asking because I know it's the missing link for some folks around here.

They do not upcharge for multicolor. They do upcharge for gloss or emboss top-coat. Prices are instructions are here.
The Roland swatch you download is just for separating the different gloss/white layers, correct? And then you can use whatever CMYK color you want? I'd been thinking about doing this for a pedal, but after loading it all into illustrator it became overwhelming/intimidating and I set it aside for later consideration.

If you need the Roland Versa works Swatch library for Illustrator, it can be found at the following web site -

Under the heading "Sign Maker (Print & cut ):" near bottom of page is a "Roland Versaworks Swatch Library." zip file, Download to Computer. It contains all the necessary
Roland VersaWorks Color Swatches for loading into Adobe Illustrator, then just a matter of finding your Illustrator Swatches file from inside your Programs Folder then unzipping the file and copy paste into the Illustrator Swatches folder
After that all the required RDG swatches are installed within the Illustrator swatch library.
The following youtube vid shows where your Illustrator swatch folder is found. -

And thanks to dmnCrawler for his tutorial on setup for Tayda uv print. Good job.
Cheers. :)

Thanks for the tutorial. We really need it.
I'm thinking about to use this Tayda's service once, but my problem is that I use Inkscape, in Ubuntu. I have to know if I really need to use white color in my graphic, and I guess I can avoid to use gloss color in the UV printing, if I understand that is a another option with an added price.
Though I still didn't get very well how is the PDF exportation, I think I have necessary to use Illustrator of Affinity Design, because the PDF file we have to upload to Tayda must have all the layers superimposed or something like that.
I'm wondering if the box have to be colored or it can be natural, too. In case, it will look good?

If you are using a colored enclosure you will need to use the white backing. You do not wan to include the colored background in the final file. That was just for understanding what it will look like. You also do not want to overlap your colors so for things like the purple above, the text is all cut out of the background purple color to show through to the white.
