What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

What's on my workbench? Way too much... Once some dust caps come in (tomorrow - yay!) I need to finish building:

Two "Sudden but Inevitable Betrayal" combo pedals (boards are populated, enclosures are here)
One Thagomizer MOD (for me - same deal)
Two more Diplodocus Gears

Still in progress:

A Ram's Head '47 BMP on the Halo board (just needs a couple of caps and the transistors)
Three G-2 builds - diodes are tested and in, but that's about it - have the fun new enclosures with some great art from my wife...

Waiting for enclosures:

Ram's Head '73 Gilmour on a new board (there was one issue with the board that was easily fixed - but that "easy fix" meant a new enclosure)
Brian May Treble boost (I also want to work up a version with a transistor socket to experiment)
EQD Black Ash
ZVEX Wooly Mammoth
My Klon KTR clone

Stuff I need to build for people:

Two Nugget fuzz
Colorsound Power Boost
A couple of my Ukrainian Army BMPs

I was in the process of wiring my bass… of course, I forgot to check that the tone cap fit in the cavity before I wired up the control plate, and sure enough it’s way too large to fit (it was a spare 600v .047 μF orange drop- it’s pointless, but it looks cool af) so now I need to rectify my foolishness. Dang it.

Mount it outside the panel so everyone can see. What’s the point otherwise?

Need one? I have some 200v. Or Tropical fish, or PIO 😀. Lemme know, I can pop one in the mail to you.

Thanks for the offer— I should have something somewhere. Unfortunately I just haven’t quite figured out a good method of capacitor organization, so it’ll take some digging to find something 😅

Next up: an always on high pass filter for 5 string bass. I can readily adapt the board for my variable ones but doing an actual classic textbook filter alignment just feels...wrong. :devilish:

1590A build this time around, but if there's anything like a slightly oversized 1590LB box out there that'd be perfect.

got out of classes at 8pm today, and by 11 pm I was finally able to look for a smaller .047uf cap for the Bass Vi (orange drop again, for the mojo looks) and I was able to get it swapped out and get the Pure Vintage Jaguar pickups in and everything hooked up and teted with the old strings. I’ll give it a good cleaning tomorrow, peel the pickguard film, and string it up with the flats. I might breadboard a simple classic silicon fuzz face with some low gain silicon cans I got from Small Bear when they were closing up before the synthcube buyout— all in the 90-110 hFE range and very mojoey looking.

I love how pedals don't faze me but offset wiring gives me a headache. Must be because the switches are different.

Are you going to keep the Bass VI tuned to E or higher like a baritone?

I'm a big fan of TI op amps. They just put out one great part after another!
Absolutely. The 1655/1656 appear to be working really well in my newest build and they aren't overly expensive at all by my standards. It's just nice to have a variety of good options in stock again in any case!

An enclosure has arrived so I drilled it for my Duck Box and sure enough, the drill template puts the LED near the footswitch when in rwality it's between the knobs on the PCB. I could've checked, it was right in front of me...

So tomorrow I'm gonna have to wrangle the damn thing between the 3PDT and the PCB and run wires to the other side.

Hey, at least I drilled correctly and everything fits :)
