That's a scary picture."Effe vlug..." Or, lemme do this real quick. Or, how to lose blood and body parts real quick.
But yeah, routering vertical made me err the heuristic of clockwise or counterckockwise guidance.
Bought a set of 4 of these router bits (different lengths) on
Amazon. Amazing stuff that I could have put to good use in the past a oot of times. I only knew of the flushers with the guide at the end, which sometimes makes for very awkward guide preparation.

That's a scary picture.
You're okay though?
I am okay. As long as both hands are on the handles, not much can happen.Looks like a "Jesus take thewheelrouter" moment. What happened? Looks like a grab and chatter? No blood stains tho so that's a good sign
Hooooooh wait I get it. You were trying to route the table beam flush with the now destroyed piece, that you used as a guide for your top bearing router bit. And the bearing lost contact. Were you hoping for the size of your balls to balance out the router? Man. I wouldn't even trying it with a palm router, especially with chinese bits. Should have put the table on its side![]()
An AC power cable? Heavy machinery, baby. That's awesome.
Yeah climb cutting more than some very thin / short path is not a good idea. Glad you made it out!I am okay. As long as both hands are on the handles, not much can happen.Looks gnarly, which is why I shared it. A lesson learned. Almost a living example of how not to do a certain thing!!
That's the "real quick" stupidity. Didn't feel like putting it on its side for convenience.
Yeah, I pushed it in the same direction it grabs itself in the wood... This way the router forces itself away from the wood, and you
You should always do the exact opposite of that... Push against the way it wants to go, this way it will always press itself against the work itself, instead of away from it. (For the non woodworkers here).

Yup, wanted to give a figurative middle finger to all the "if a tube pedal takes a 9V input it's just a toy" people. An AC power cable? Heavy machinery, baby. That's awesome.
I can injure myself with a 3D printer... I have no business fooling with power tools.
I know you said the demo of the last one is awful but I liked it...it's hard to judge the sound of the fuzz itself, because I enjoy your playing so much, so I might just be digging what you're playing.View attachment 109369
V9 / 'NYC' Big Muff. (per kit rae schematic)
- no one really seems to bother with this one so I went to try it out.
- actually pretty good.
- grinds, crunches, it's fat. i'm down.
I've since tried the rev C version, and I reckon it's even better:

JPTR FX WarlowCleric Fuzz
- it's alright.
- plenty of burl and grind. tone control was a bit of a bummer.
- it's good, but i preferred the og V5/opamp muff in an A/B comparison.

Sola Sound Yellow Hybrid Tone BenderMarigold Fuzz
- yo dawg i heard you like velcro fuzz
- this thing is so sticky, i'd be more inclined to call it a tar pit fuzz.
- did the things and got Q3c (MP38A, ~60hfe/~.100 leak) biased to around 3V, for D1 tried a few options and settled on a D9E.
- i heard some say this is more like a big muff than a bender? not sure im getting much muff vibe.
- really wanted to like this but i just don't.
this demo is awful, i wasn't gonna share it, but i've decided it's important to highlight even the turds to promote acceptance that not all of em can be bangers.
having said that, it's probably my fault that it sucks and the circuit is fine but whatever i tried
Yup, wanted to give a figurative middle finger to all the "if a tube pedal takes a 9V input it's just a toy" people.
yeah idk maybe the gated/velcro/weirdness of it is something people actually like. seems a bit 'unwieldy' to me.I know you said the demo of the last one is awful but I liked it...it's hard to judge the sound of the fuzz itself, because I enjoy your playing so much, so I might just be digging what you're playing.
